Welcome to Splash-Happy Swimschool

Splash-Happy Swimschool provides quality swimming lessons to small groups of children and adults from non-swimmer to pre-competition.

The Swimschool is owned by Hazel Lees and is run with the assistance of many members of her family.  As the Swimschool has grown the ‘family’ has had to grow also by employing more teachers who are unrelated.  However the Splash-Happy Team is one big happy ‘family’. Hazel Lees has been teaching swimming since 1992.  

Splash-Happy teachers get into the water with the children . This encourages participation and inspires confidence in the children.  

The children learn using a combination of songs, games and drills. Various teaching aids are used such as woggles, floats, soft toys, sinkers, floating toys, etc.The groups are kept small with a maximum of 8 children in a class. Each child will receive group and individual instruction and feedback throughout the lesson.  

The awards scheme operated by Splash-Happy Swimschool is produced by the STA (Swimming Teachers Association).  The swimmers are continually assessed and their achievements recorded.  On successful completion of an award a badge and certificate is available for purchase.
